Gibt es so etwas wirklich? Den Thanksgiving-Hangover? Die Kollegen von bespokeinvest finden anscheinend: ja. So schreiben sie in einem aktuellen Beitrag:
In fact, in the post-WW2 era, the S&P 500 has averaged a decline of 0.32% on the Monday after Thanksgiving ... over the last ten years, the S&P 500 has been down on the Monday after Thanksgiving seven times for an average decline of 0.97% ... The declines haven't lasted long, however. As shown below, the Tuesday through Friday period during the week after Thanksgiving has been very positive over the last ten years, with an average S&P 500 gain of 2.36% and positive returns nine years in a row.
